My name is Marie Eve Sauvage,
I was born and raised in Mauritius where I lived a beautiful life with all I needed – and more.
After school, my parents helped me go study abroad. I landed in Australia where I spent the next 14 years of my life…
Studying, working, and discovering…
Falling in love, growing my family and my business.
– My love story with the camera –
My parents bought me my first camera for my 15th birthday. What a gift that was.
I took a lot of pleasure in understanding photography and discovered my love for saving moments.
While studying in Australia, I worked for two companies that would send me to different parts of the state for a range of photography jobs and events. The combination of traveling, discovering, and working as a photographer was a great experience. It gave me the opportunity to find out what I love and what I would want to spend more time capturing.
– Life-changing moments –
After my studies and countless hours spent in the hospitality industry, I had a car accident that reshaped my life. I finally made the jump and started my photography business. It allowed me to control my workflow, as well as be there for my first baby girl. Working from home didn’t come without challenges but I wouldn’t have done it any differently.
– Since –
We have grown our family & businesses. We have now 3 little monkeys that light up our days, a music school in Australia, and a photography business that travels with us.
We left Western Australia and are now living in Mauritius, to be close to our beautiful Mauritian family.
– My style –
I want you to remember the shoot as a beautiful moment and experience. I want you to feel happy when you look at the images not just because it is a beautiful image or because of how beautiful you look but because of how you felt back then, and how that makes you feel now.
Think about natural, honest and simple.
I aim to capture the real, the raw & the beautiful.
I hope this introduction helps you find out if I am the right person to capture pictures of you and your family,
creating memories and forever-lasting images.
I personally can’t wait.
Thank you to Julie pour les photos!
